Air Rifts are always a welcome sight on the streets, social feeds and shelves at UP THERE. It’s hardly surprising the Swoosh is cranking up production of the distinct shoe, seeing that tabi-toed shoes are all the rage (again). Nike weren’t the first to do it, but their take with the Rift stands the test of time as one of the best.
This edition swaps out the neoprene main panels for a diamond mesh, reminiscent of Nike’s old Torch mesh (a familiar name for the terminally unc status sneaker nerds) and should prevent toe stank for any barefoot wearers. A midfoot strap and one on the heels keeps things locked and toes docked in that split toe, all sat atop Air cushioning.
